Hey there!
Thanks for popping in.
My name is Kristin Flatt and I am a Gila Valley artist, born and raised in little bitty Safford, AZ. Safford is known for its cotton fields, Doc Holiday soda, and one of the world's largest telecopes in our backyard (Mt. Graham)!I've always had in interest in drawing. There's something magical about thinking up something cool in your head and bringing it to life on paper. As a kid, I made it my dream to publish a children's book someday, and I'm still keeping that dream alive. (I have so many ideas it's hard to stick to just one haha)I have a passion for graphic design and love organizing materials in a way that’s appealing to the eye. I got my start making flyers for our local movie theater and helping my high school art club with event promos. After earning my Associate’s in Graphic Design from Eastern Arizona College, I took on creative commissions ranging from holiday window paintings to murals. In 2023, I launched Flattbush Design to help add a creative spark to local businesses. I’m currently partnered with Valley Furniture & Appliance as their Creative Marking Specialist, managing their social media, designing promos, and supporting community outreach. Thanks for visiting my lil' slice of the internet! If you’d like to connect on a project, just fill out the form on the Contact tab. I’ll be in touch soon!

Window Art

Want to boost your seasonal décor or promote your business in a fun way? Window paintings can add color, and charm to any space! For businesses, it’s a great way to stand out, attract attention, and create a welcoming vibe. For homes, it’s a creative touch that helps spread joy in the neighborhood.Let me bring your windows to life!

Paint used: BEHR Satin Indoor house paint
Indoor house paint is great for durability in the weather and comes off easily when the time comes for removal. I may also use acrylic paints for the smaller details.
Please note that slight warping may occur during rainstorms. It is recommended to choose a window space with protection against water to ensure a long lasting design.

Illustration

I've been into drawing for as long as I can remember. I started focusing on my art skills in middle school, and things really took off from there.I love drawing animals, characters, and fun scenes that add a touch of charm to everyday life. My style is best described as cutesy and cartoony, with bold colors and thick lines.A lot of my ideas are inspired by children's book illustrations, animation, and advertising. I’m especially drawn to art that tells a story or brings a little joy to someone’s day. Drawing is a freeing, expressive outlet for me - it’s how I bring all the fun ideas in my head to life. The possibilities are endless! All of my art is 100% human made - No AI involved!

Let's Talk FAQs

What areas will you travel to for paint jobs?
For now, I'm keeping it fairly local and offering services in the Graham, Greenlee, and Cochise counties.
What is the process for scheduling window art?
Once you submit your request, I’ll reach out to schedule a time for us to meet and chat about your window space. I like to see the windows in person to get a feel for the size and layout.
After I gather the details and snap a photo of the space, I’ll create a digital mockup of your design. We’ll go over any tweaks or changes together, and once the design is approved and a paint date is set, I’ll send over an invoice with the payment amount and scheduled times for painting and clean-up. Then we wait for the big day when your window gets all dressed up!How long will it take for you to respond to my request?
I try to respond back within the day! I do work full-time Monday-Friday, so it depends on when you send your request. I'll reply back as soon as I can!
Will you paint other surfaces besides windows? What about bedroom walls?
I have considered painting bedrooms and outdoor areas! This depends on my schedule and if there are any hazards I'll need to prep for (heights, finnicky surfaces, weather tolerance, etc.) If you have a project in mind, fill out the contact form with your plans and I will reach back out with my availability!
What type of paint do you use for your window art?
I use Behr Indoor Latex Paint, usually in a satin finish. I get all of my paint in little samples so they're easy to carry while painting. Occasionally I'll use acrylic paints for the smaller details.
